Linksys router with XP doesn’t work?
Posted by admin
Mr. Complainer asked:
I have a 2000 Gateway running window XP with a motorola Surfboard cable modem sb5120 and a Linksys Wireless G Broadband Router Model WRK54g. I have had problems in the past with the router, sometimes it would have to be reset and it work for a short period of time then go out again. I just reboot my computer to start fresh without a virus. I have all the proper drivers installed but when i go to hook up the router in its wizard it says it cannot connect to the internet. Its not he cable modem because that is how i am writing this question. It has given me this message before but somehow i have always found away around it. When i call Linksys they blame Roadrunner (isp) and Roadrunner blames linksys, I don’t want to have to deal with them anymore! Does anyone know if i missing a driver or something that will help me install this without anymore problems? Is the router shot, should i buy a new one? Computer Level = semi advance
