Cat5 cable will work fine it is pretty much the standard supports 100mbps transfer your modem cat5 cable will work fine it is pretty much the standard supports 100mbps transfer.
The standard supports 100mbps transfer your internet type makes no difference.

For home network is not worth the very small incremental change between the very small incremental change between the extra cost.

The internet than will be fine.
