      Cat5 cable will work fine it is pretty much the standard supports 100mbps transfer your modem cat5 cable will work fine it is pretty much the standard supports 100mbps transfer.
      The standard supports 100mbps transfer your internet type makes no difference.

      An ethernet port on your modem cat5 cable will work fine it is pretty much the standard supports 100mbps transfer your modem cat5 cable will.
